bike’s out of commish, so i walked four miles under the sun to have more holes drilled in my tooth today. my feet are killing me, but to reward myself for my relentless TCB attitude, i stopped by the thrift store and holy bag of dicks, they’ve put out so many cute clothes for the fall! i think i’m gonna cut the collar off that ’80s top. i’ll probably get rid of the chevron sweater dress because those leggings are literally the only thing i own to wear it with (it looks pretty stupid with jeans). the scale disagrees, but i think i look like i’ve put on like twenty pounds in the past month. maybe i should stop squeezing into mediums and larges, jk jk can’t stop won’t stop

  • vintage floral dress: thrifted at Buffalo Exchange
  • Kork-Ease ‘Ava’ wedges in natural cork
  • opaque HUE tights
  • vintage Botega purse: from mom

It’s gross out. I don’t know what to wear to work today, so I’m eating a pomegranate in bed and sitting on tumblr and just realized I had this outfit from last week saved in drafts. I attended an event hosted by Quiksilver with my friend Anna, and she took these pictures on the train after two of the greatest cocktails of my life. There were many beautiful sweaters at said event. Getting pumped for cold weather. Dressing in anticipation of fall yet still cursed with the oppression of summer heat is the worst. How do you dress this time of year?

OOTD?
My great grandma’s favourite dress, fits me like a glove.
I miss her.

(my new room - yes I have silver walls!)

THE LADY IS A TRAMP

Top: Thrifted (Goodwill)

Pants: Some sketchy Amazon seller

Shoes: Shoe Carnival

Earrings: Claire’s

Necklace: A gift!

This is one of those outfit that looks retro and cool enough to make me feel kinda hot. An unfortunate side effect: I keep making that faux-pin up girl face. I’m sorry. I know it’s difficult to look at.

Dammit I’m obsessed with these weird pants. Expect to see them quite a bit. They’re wonderful. They’re magnificent. They even made me enjoy this stupid top my sister made me buy. BASK IN THEIR GLORY.

For all those girls who can’t move on, who think you aren’t good enough, or don’t give them selves enough credit. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND WERE PUT ON THIS PLANET FOR A REASON. You may not be the prettiest or the brightest but there is someone who loves you. Be who you are

What inspired this look?: I love vintage fashion, especially between 1940s-1960s.
Where do you shop for plus size clothing?: The search is always fun. However, trying clothes that looks cute on a hanger then you bust a seam and all you’re left is static in the hair can be frustrating.
I try to not spend an arm and a leg buying clothes. I usually shop   at Target in the clearance rack, unless the fashion gods shine down upon full price clothes that I must have and reasonable price too.
I used to shop at Old Navy, but not pleased by the quality of clothing they’re selling lately.
This small shop in downtown Santa Ana, Ca, “Fashion..” something. It will probably comeback to me after I post this. :)
And sometimes from my boyfriend’s mom who loves to shop and buys too much and sends me a bag of clothes. Yay for future mother-in-law!
**I just want to say it took me a long time to gain confidence and embrace the body that I have. Now and then that negativity taps me on the shoulder. I been told not so great things, even coming from my parents. Like “you would be prettier if you loss weight”, growing up they told me “you will never have a boyfriend if  you’re fat” and even today “I will pay for your whole wedding one day if you lose weight”.
I have a wonderful boyfriend for 7 years (I know, I know.. :) ) who tells me everyday how beautiful I am and I used to say “you have to say that because you’re my boyfriend”. Finally one day, I started to believe him and wanted to embrace more on this new happiness with my body. I stopped being afraid of being picky of clothes and decided to wear clothes that made ME HAPPY. So put on that red lipstick, heels, and any clothes your heart desires!
